What You’ll Be Doing:
The Project Engineer will play a key role in supporting our Concrete Field Managers and project team in the planning, coordination, and execution of concrete construction activities. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to gain hands-on experience in the field while growing within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Concrete Field Managers with daily field operations and jobsite coordination
- Track and verify quantities of materials, labor, and equipment
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation including RFIs, submittals, daily reports, and change orders
- Support layout, pour scheduling, and sequencing efforts in coordination with the field team
- Attend jobsite meetings and document key action items and updates
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Monitor quality control measures and ensure work complies with project specifications
- Help manage safety compliance documentation and procedures
- Assist with project closeout, punch lists, and documentation turnover
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- 0–3 years of experience in commercial concrete or general construction (internship/co-op experience welcomed)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar software a plus
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to work in both field and office environments
