The Seasonal Seed Supply Staff assists with the collection and preparation of corn harvest samples for testing in the Beck’s QA lab and third party laboratories. This is a seasonal role working from around 7AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Friday from Early September through Early November.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the collection of corn harvest samples
- Independently apply seed treatments to corn harvest samples
- Assist with the labeling and packaging of seed samples for quality assurance testing
- Utilize parcel shipping software used for distribution of seed samples and seed lots
- Assist with the sampling of seed lots in the Warehouse or Bulk Storage
- Assist with maintenance of equipment used in seed lab receiving area
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Assist with any duties assigned by the Corn Inventory & Planning Manager and Seed Supply Team
Job Requirements
Education and training:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record as determined by Beck’s automobile insurance policy.
Technical knowledge:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail
- Ability to be patient when working with others

Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to work in an environment with seed, grain dust, and seed treatments.
