As a Paraplanner, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our Financial Planning Consultants by delivering high-quality technical support and maintaining strong relationships with clients. You’ll be responsible for preparing professional reports, conducting research, and ensuring our advice and documentation meet regulatory standards. This is a dynamic role that combines technical expertise, client interaction, and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver client reports and annual reviews to a professional standard.
- Implement consultant requests efficiently and accurately.
- Gather and record client data using Intelligent Office.
- Communicate effectively with clients and third parties, both in person and remotely.
- Collaborate closely with administrative support to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage and prioritise your own workload and support the wider Paraplanning team.
- Work with the Head of Paraplanning to ensure team efficiency and provide cover when needed.
- Maintain and improve technical support processes and documentation.
- Conduct product-based research to support financial planning recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and internal policies, including AML requirements.
- Support the collection and reporting of management information (MI).
- Promote a culture of diligence, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Undertake ongoing professional development and maintain appropriate status within the T&C regime.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to their development.
- Strong technical knowledge across all areas of financial planning.
- Proficient in financial planning tools and modelling software (e.g., Voyant).
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build client trust and confidence.
- Clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal.
- Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Degree or equivalent tertiary education preferred.
- Minimum CII Level 4 qualified or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in Paraplanning, ideally supporting High Net Worth clients.
