About the Department
NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Behavioral Health Clinic Operations Manager to elevate our behavioral health services. This role is responsible for organizing, supervising, and coordinating daily clinic operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered mental health care.

In this position, you will:
- Manage the daily administrative operations of the behavioral health department including satellite sites.
- Develop and implement procedures, protocols, and policies that support operational excellence and ensure the functionality of daily behavioral operations.
- Supervise support staff including office specialists, intake specialists, and billing specialists.
- Ensure the management of provider schedules including medical record templating, time off requests, and patient appointment scheduling.
- Coordinate with our guest services department to ensure proper reception desk coverage.
- Manage behavioral health purchasing, supplies, and contracts.
- Manage physical space including office assignment and accommodations.
- Oversee clinical provider credentialing and payor enrollment.
- Ensure processes are in place and maintained for patient financial clearance before initiating services as well as ongoing fee collection.
- Represent the Behavioral Health division on NorthPoint committees including Health and Safety, Infection Control, Epic User Team, Human Resources, Operations, and Facilities.
- Collaborate with behavioral health leadership team on applicable program development and grant management.
- Develop, prepare, and effectively manage budgets relating to the operation of the behavioral health department.
- Develop and implement/support inter-department integrated services protocols and process coordination.
- Ensure behavioral health compliance with the Minnesota Department of Human Services Uniform Service Standards and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) standards and procedures.
- Provide leadership to further department-based strategies that align with county goals, mission, and core values for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- One of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration, psychology, public health, nursing, social work, or related field and five years of experience in clinic or program management including supervisory responsibility.
- Nine years or more of experience in clinic operations, public administration, or program management including supervisory responsibility.
- Experience:
- Managing and supervising professional, paraprofessional, support staff function, and patient/client crises in multiple locations.
- Managing multiple systems, integrated programming, and service coordination.
- With strategic planning, project management, and coordination of resources and services.
- Using Microsoft Office and electronic health records, primarily Epic.
- With supporting racial equity or disparity reduction work from a public health perspective.
- With racial equity, gender equity, LGBTQIA+ equity, and/or people with varying abilities to achieve health and racial equity.
- Ability to:
- Establish clinic operational goals, objectives, and standards.
- Represent the Behavioral Health Clinic on the NorthPoint Epic System enhancement/utilization team.
- Facilitate large and small public group presentations or meetings.
- Develop reports, data management, interpret, and manage dissemination.
- Coordinate the operations and support services unit in collaboration with the behavioral health clinical services and administration functions.
- Knowledge of diversity and inclusion strategies with a focus on disparities reduction.
