Overview
The Vendor Relations Assistant Manager supports the management of vendors across various categories (Floral, Gifts, Plants, Baskets, Fruit Bouquets, Shari’s Berries) and ensures operational excellence through communication, data analysis, team supervision, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day vendor communications and ensure adherence to established SOPs
Supervise Vendor Relations Specialists (VRS 2, 3, and 4) in their daily vendor management tasks
Analyze Wrong Delivery Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) metrics and identify trends using mystery shop data and report cards
Maintain and monitor the Shared Vendor Relations email inbox
Represent the Vendor Relations team in weekly cross-functional category meetings
Manage order moves and rejections as needed
Track and report on inbound deliveries to vendor locations
Compile and distribute Fulfillment Resource Guides
Order mystery shop materials and share results with vendors and internal teams
Provide backup support for VRS 2, 3, 4, and the Vendor Relations Manager
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Management experience is a plus
Fluency in Spanish is a plus
Ability to type at least 30 words per minute with 100% accuracy
Skills & Competencies
Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions
Able to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Works well independently and within a collaborative team setting
Strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude
Supervisory Responsibility
Directly supervises 3 team members (VRS 2, 3 & 4)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Regular use of computer/keyboard
Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
Compensation & Benefits
The expected hourly range for this position is $31.25–$36.05. The actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by law.
