We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our team! Azure Chaos Studio (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/products/chaos-studio) aspires to improve the resiliency of services worldwide by offering Fault Injection as a Service.   • Collaborate with Program Managers to understand and define feature acceptance criteria
  • Produce and review detailed engineering specifications
  • Own feature delivery from conception through implementation to worldwide deployment
  • Contribute to our CI/CD pipeline to champion developer efficiencies and standards
  • Participate in improving the reliability, scalability, and supportability of the services we host
QualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering , or related field AND 2+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling or data engineering work
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in business analytics, data science, software development, or data engineering work
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with React or similar modern UI frameworks and Typescripts
  • 2+ years of experience with .Net, Java or Nodejs
  • 2+ years of working with JavaScript bundler like webpack or rollup
Other Requirements
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science , Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering , or related field AND 5+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling or data engineering work
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering , or related field AND 3+ years of business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling or data engineering work experience
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of working with CI/CD systems like Jenkins or Azure DevOps
  • 3+ years of working on an enterprise scale customer facing product
  • 1+ years of experience with charting libraries like D3 or highcharts
  • 1+ years of working with reactive programing paradigm such as ReactiveX
  • 1+ years of experience managing scalable infra such as Kubernetes
Data Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
