Job Description

To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty successfully.

  • Schedules and performs routine preventative maintenance, minor repairs and cleaning in accordance with established policies and procedures and ADA and OSHA regulations.
  • Performs miscellaneous tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, machine servicing, welding, electrical, furniture set-up and rearrangement, cleaning, and other heavy work.
  • Maintains records, schedules and conduct audits to ensure compliance with State and Federal Regulations, including but not limited to back flow and fire systems.
  • Tracks and completes all CMMS paperwork/requests.
  • Maintains locks and keys including Steelcase Equipment and doors.
  • Identifies and report major repairs to management.
  • Assists and follow-up with outside service personnel and vendors to ensure maintenance and repair work is completed properly and efficiently.
  • Provides emergency, 24-hour on-call service as required.
  • Establishes and maintain effective communication, coordination and working relationships with Credit Union employees, management, vendors, and service providers.
  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of corporate offices and branch locations and adhere to project policies and procedures. Provide communication to facilities manager on projects, results of efforts, problems identified, potential problems, and recommendations.
  • Travels overnight when needed and performs duties on call when needed.
  • Completes safety, technical, policy and procedural training assigned by management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience

Three to Five years of similar or related experience.

High School Diploma or G.E.D

Language Skills

Must have the ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in English in written and oral form.

Computer/Office Equipment Skills 

Intermediate to Advanced skills in the following: Computer operating skills (windows navigation, mouse/keyboard functionality), Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite.  Must have the ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute

Physical Demands

Requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talks and hears.  Occasionally climbs, kneels or crawls.

Vision Requirements

Requires close, distance, color, peripheral and depth perception vision as well as the ability to focus.

Weight Lifted or Force Exerted

Frequently lifts up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds or more.

Environmental

Wet or humid weather, extreme cold weather, extreme heat weather, outdoor weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, work in high precarious places, fumes and airborne particles, toxic and caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibrations

Noise Environment

Loud noise (manufacturing department, large earth moving equipment)
