DescriptionBlue Onion is transforming how companies handle accounting. With a unique platform unifying order, payment, and cash flow data, we streamline reconciliation and revenue reporting through automation. We’re looking for a Demand Specialist who’s skilled at driving customer engagement and pipeline growth.What You’ll DoAs a Demand Specialist, we are looking for someone to build predictable demand programs from 0-1. It will be imperative to establish an experimental framework that allows accurate tracking which demonstrates success &/or failure to drive top of funnel opportunity creation. We are looking for someone that will start by learning and understanding how, when, where our ICP consumes content and then focuses our initial test programs based on these learnings. The northstar metric we aim to track is Sales Qualified Opportunities (or stage 2). This role requires a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on execution and results.Key Responsibilities:

  • ICP Research & Understanding: through interviews, events, recordings, etc you’ll be obsessed with our ICP (Finance teams within D2C companies) to develop a strategy of how, when & where we meet them where they want to interact.
  • Program Experimentation: we have assumptions about where we can win, but inevitably we aspire to be data driven, which means we want to make bets on where we can win, then establish experiments to test hypotheses before fueling programs that have proven opportunity.
  • Establish Predictable Programs: from experiment, to optimization, to predictability. The ultimate goal post 0-1 (what should we test, where did we win?) is establishing predictability in how we fill our top of the funnel.
  • Assisting Funnel Progression: initially your main focus will be creating demand programs to fill top of the funnel opportunity creation. However, as that matures, we’ll want to take the same experimentation structure to begin testing how, when, where Marketing can help progress deals through our sales funnel.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Business Development, Product and Customer Success teams to align on target audience, messaging, and lead quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of experience in demand generation or digital marketing in a B2B SaaS environment, preferably within fintech or related sectors.
  • Proven success in establishing net new demand programs / channels and knowing the revenue influenced by aid programs.
  • Experience with establishing the necessary ecosystem to support a framework of experimentation with accurate traceable metrics.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in tracking and interpreting campaign performance data and optimizing based on insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.
