We are looking for skilled Data Science Managers to apply for a role with one of our leading global technology partners located in Germany.

The Role:

Unique opportunity to build, steer, manage and mentor a team of highly skilled Applied AI Scientists, and Data Engineers. Drive the development of Foundation Models for structured data embedded in a variety of business applications.

  • Be accountable for the success, quality, and delivery of Machine Learning components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management and design to define product requirements and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software products.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence in software development.
  • Act as a problem solver to address organizational and process challenges, leveraging technical expertise to bridge gaps, streamline operations, and facilitate the smooth execution of partnership initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AI and Data Engineering trends and apply this expertise to improve team performance and product quality.
  • Contribute to thought leadership in a revolutionary new data modality for Foundation Models and Generative AI.

Qualifications

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or other relevant disciplines.
  • 10+ years of experience working as Data Scientist or similar roles, with experience in training large deep learning models and working with real-world data. Experience in leading teams and projects in complex environments.
  • Expertise in Foundation and Transformer Models, with a strong understanding of Machine Learning algorithms and techniques, especially with structured data application in business.
  • Deep understanding of issues and opportunities of applying Generative AI in a business context.
  • Demonstrated exceptional leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills, with responsibilities including setting and achieving team goals, delegating tasks, mentoring team members, and effectively managing and communicating within large, diverse teams. Must demonstrate a track record of delivering results.
  • Ideally, professional experience with Machine Learning on structured data such as in the ERP or CRM domain. Experience with data privacy-preserving AI is a plus.
  • Very good communication skills in English
