Job Highlights

Hourly Rate: USD 4 (to be paid in the candidate's local currency)

Number of Hours per week: 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9AM-6PM Baltimore, MD Time

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor”, the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will also be accountable for handling their taxes and benefits independently. The salary is calculated and offered on an hourly basis

Responsibilities

Maximize Insurance Collections

  • Collaborate with the front desk team to optimize collections by verifying insurance benefits, submitting claims, and resolving outstanding accounts.

Utilize Open Dental Software

  • Manage patient records, treatment plans, and billing efficiently using Open Dental software, ensuring information is consistently updated and accurate.

Audit Patient Records

  • Conduct audits of patient records in line with a provided checklist, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and identifying any discrepancies.

Coordinate with Billing and Collections Teams

  • Work closely with billing and collections staff to streamline processes, reduce claim rejections, and handle patient billing inquiries.

Support Front Desk with Insurance Queries

  • Assist the front desk in responding to patient questions about insurance coverage, eligibility, and claim status, providing a seamless patient experience.

Requirements

Experience in Dental Insurance and Collections

  • Background in dental insurance processes and collections, ideally with 2+ years in a dental office setting.

Proficiency in Open Dental Software

  • Practical experience using Open Dental software, with proficiency in managing patient records, scheduling, and billing functions.

Strong Attention to Detail for Auditing

  • Ability to conduct thorough and accurate audits of patient records, following checklist guidelines meticulously.

Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • Effective communication skills for liaising with the front desk, patients, and insurance providers, ensuring clear and professional interactions.

Organizational Skills and Dependability

  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple responsibilities, maintain accurate records, and consistently meet deadlines.
