Your daily responsibilities include owning design initiatives across cross-functional teams, promoting collaboration, and ensuring the seamless integration of design solutions throughout the product development lifecycle. You will work closely with Proposify’s Product Management, Development, and QA teams. Success in this position requires active teamwork and strong communication skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be highly organized, managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently.What You’ll Do (and Love Doing) - Own initiatives in all aspects of the design process from conception to completion.
- Communicate complex ideas, goals, and problems in a way that is accessible to anyone.
- Perform thorough research, user testing, and analysis to acquire insights into user behaviors, preferences, and pain points. Use these findings to inform and shape the creation of user-centered design solutions.
- Use insights to drive the product strategy and connect design initiatives with business outcomes.
- Create deliverables (flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, etc) to communicate ideas to users, stakeholders, and developers.
- Design elegant solutions that fit within the larger experience and flows, balancing long-term vision with short term execution.
- Work independently with developers and product managers to ensure the successful implementation of design solutions, providing guidance and support throughout the development process.
- Work with stakeholders to iterate on and refine the existing experience (identify and mitigate UX debt).
- Support design across Proposify through active participation in design critiques, contributing to knowledge sharing within the design team, working sessions, establishing guidelines, and evolving the Proposify design language.
- Level up others on the team through regular coaching, taking the time to educate others, and by suggesting process improvements.
What We’ll Love About You - Proficient knowledge of product design, including common interaction patterns and trade-offs, and best practices for responsive web applications.
- 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Background in HCI, Graphic Design, Computer Science preferred.
- Demonstrated experience conducting research as part of a team, interacting with users, synthesizing and presenting findings (Case Studies preferred).
- Proven record of designing delightful, thoughtful experiences (Portfolio Walkthrough).
- Proficient in UI and using tools such as Figma or similar (Sketch, Adobe XD etc.).
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, and familiarity with JavaScript.
- Have design systems knowledge, understanding, and practice.
- Must have the flexibility to adapt to growing technology and market demands.
- Strong planning and organizational abilities, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Experience designing for web accessibility that meets WCAG 2.2 level AA compliance.
- Competence with software tools such as Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Jira, Jira Product Discovery, Confluence, Pendo, and Datadog.
