Overview

The Senior Data Intelligence Analyst will leverage data, information management tools, subject matter experts and competitive intelligence to develop critical analyses that will be used to support enterprise-wide strategic decision making at manufacturers, service providers, regulators and researchers.

Under our CRFlex program, this position is eligible for Fully Remote status for candidates who live more than 75 miles from one of our main office locations (Yonkers, NY, Washington DC, Colchester, CT). Additionally, the successful candidate must reside in one of the following locations: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Texas, Vermont, Washington D.C.

How You'll Make An Impact

As a Senior Data Intelligence Analyst you will:

  • Deliver the data, research, analysis and recommendation needs of the Data Intelligence Program with a focus on providing insights through reports or analytics dashboards for external audiences (manufacturers, regulatory bodies, researchers, service providers, etc.).
  • Work closely in collaboration with CR’s Statistics & Data Science leader as well as other key subject matter experts to ensure best practices and consistent analyses.
  • Make Consumer Reports mission, vision and strategic plan the lens through which research is conducted and recommendations are made.
  • Contribute to the development of Tableau dashboards and in partnership with the department, supports data collection and dissemination.
  • Partner with key liaisons on the collection, aggregation, and analysis of data from multiple internal and external sources to drive insights into business actions.
  • Provide reporting solutions and respond to ad-hoc report requests, leveraging team resources to prepare comprehensive analysis using the optimal data sources
  • Perform other duties as assigned but not those of a higher level.

You’ll Be Highly Rated If

  • Bachelors’ degree (Business, Informatics, or Data Science), graduate work preferable (MBA, MLS); at least 5-7 years of experience in a data, analytics or research environment.
  • Excellent skills in managing large amounts of data, extracting, transforming and loading data, and exploring, mining and graphing data.
  • Knowledge of SQL or Python desired.
  • Understanding and ability to conduct statistical analysis is preferred.
  • Exceptional writing skills and the ability to turn data into narrative content that is appealing to a wide variety of audiences is required.
  • The ability to organize data and information into client-usable formats is beneficial, as is experience synthesizing and analyzing data, and interpreting data into recommendations and actions.

Fair Pay & A Just WorkPlace

At Consumer Reports, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation. The target salary range for this position is $100k to $120k. This posted range is reflective of the NY/CA market. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. Compensation for the successful candidate will be informed by the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
