About Us

Optiml is a PropTech startup with a mission to decarbonize real estate through our decarbonization software. In April 2024, we launched our product in the DACH region and the UK (soon US), and now, we’re at the stage where we need to ramp up our communications to (re)shape and scale our brand and product.

We spun out of ETH Zurich in 2022 and have recently raised a $4M pre-seed extension from top-tier US and EU funds, including Innovation Endeavors (the fund of former Google CEO Eric Schmidt), Planet A, BitStone, and Kompas. Our software has gained significant recognition in the industry lately, winning three of the most prestigious awards for a (PropTech) startup: ZIA PropTech of the Year, W.A. De Vigier, and >> venture >>.

Although we are primarily searching for a Product Marketing Manager, we are also looking for someone who can handle a variety of marketing tasks, as tasks must be distributed efficiently in a startup.

Tasks

  • Provide a voice for the product outside of the company and work in close relation with PR, Marketing, Sales, Product, and UXR.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive product marketing strategy, including the positioning of a new product category.
  • Align communication with the customer success and sales team and ensure all sales and marketing materials support effective customer engagement.
  • Ensure clarity and consistency in text, design, and messaging in case studies, newsletters, whitepapers, on the website and so on.
  • Analyze customer feedback to refine strategies, improve product positioning, and increase market penetration.
  • Manage campaigns of product releases along customer types & use cases including the organization of webinars as well as on site events.
  • Be responsible for designing creative visuals that align with the strategy and target groups.
  • Create Linkedin content and engage with the community on LinkedIn.
  • Research new marketing channels to expand brand awareness and demand generation.
  • Optimize marketing content for search engines (SEO) to drive traffic and awareness.
  • Be responsible for key product marketing metrics.

Requirements

Must have

  • 4+ years of experience in product marketing with Tech (SaaS) & Climate and/or PropTech context
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English and German (Please add an example of a comms project in regards to tech & climate to your application)
  • Ability to contribute individually and in teams
  • Graphical Skills (Photoshop, Figma, Canva, and similar tools) to create PR & marketing visuals
  • SEO Skills

Note on Location: The team so far works primarily from our Zurich office. This role is fully flexible between remote or otherwise located in Zurich / Munich office location
