A leading multi-strategy hedge fund in central London seeks a highly skilled Python Data Engineer to spearhead the development of an automated data platform, enhancing alpha generation and exploration.

- Collaborate with traders and quantitative researchers to identify data requirements and design data pipelines supporting research and trading activities.
- Develop and maintain data infrastructure using Python and associated technologies.
- Establish and manage data processing workflows, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing solutions.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists to develop models and algorithms for generating alpha signals.
- Monitor and uphold data quality, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Continuously assess and optimize data infrastructure to accommodate new data sources, research methodologies, and trading strategies.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in developing data infrastructure using Python and related technologies.
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and databases.
- Preferable experience with distributed computing, such as Kafka.
- Experience working with quantitative researchers and traders is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and adeptness in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
