Responsibilities
- Optimize Linux operating systems for high-impact internet-facing production services and distributed systems
- Implement and coordinate advanced telemetry using tools like Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus
- Troubleshoot complex issues in Kubernetes and establish high standards and best practices
- Create and maintain cutting-edge automation scripts using Bash and Python
- Build and operate advanced container orchestration systems like Kubernetes or EKS
- Design and maintain robust, high-performance cloud infrastructure with AWS
- Champion innovative automation solutions to minimize manual work
- Show strong ownership and leadership, effectively communicate, and foster a collaborative team environment
- Advocate for continuous learning and improvement within the team
- Provide technical mentorship and support to team members
- Lead disaster recovery and capacity planning to ensure system resilience and scalability
- Take charge of deployment automation using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Integrate and enhance SRE practices with open source technologies like Cassandra, Kafka, Solr, PostgreSQL, and Redis
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration
- Expertise in telemetry tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus
- In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Proficient in scripting with Bash and Python
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Knowledge of deployment automation tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Proven track record in automating processes and systems
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience in disaster recovery and capacity planning
- Certifications in Kubernetes or AWS
