Job Description: Linux DevOps Engineer
Location: Brussels, South Train Station
Work Schedule: Hybrid ( 2 days per week on-site)
Contract Type : Freelance
Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Linux DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all Java-based applications are installable and runnable, although in-depth Java knowledge is not required. Familiarity with Java is a plus for troubleshooting automation issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation: Oversee the automation process from building to deployment stages.
- AWX Migration: Participate in the migration to AWX, linked to an Ansible Tower.
- Red Hat OS: Work extensively with Red Hat as the operating system.
- High Availability Proxies: Configure high availability proxies on Linux servers.
- Ansible Expertise: Demonstrate strong proficiency in Ansible, including writing and troubleshooting playbooks.
- Containerization: Utilize OpenShift (based on Kubernetes) for containerization.
- Database Automation: Use Liquibase for database automation (similar tools experience is valid)
- CI/CD Tools: Employ GitHub, Jenkins, and Sonar for continuous integration and deployment, leveraging AWX Linux Ansible Tower.
- Networking: Basic networking knowledge is a plus.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with development and business teams.
- Mentorship: Guide and upscale junior team members.
- Join a DevOps team of 4, with this role being one of the 2 senior positions.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar positions.
- Strong background in Linux and automation tools.
- Experience with Red Hat, Ansible, and containerization technologies.
