The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Book and manage freight loads, ensuring efficient scheduling and transportation.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and clients, sending necessary documentation such as Bills of Lading and confirming delivery schedules.
- Enter and manage logistics data in our system, maintaining accuracy and up-to-date information.
- Provide quotes and tracking information to clients, focusing on prompt and reliable customer service.
- Handle basic customer service inquiries and resolve issues related to shipments.
- Ideally, manage appointments and deliveries specifically related to Amazon, leveraging any existing knowledge of Amazon’s logistics software and processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in logistics and transportation, particularly within the domestic (U.S.) market.
- Strong familiarity with the logistics needs of major clients like Amazon, including appointment scheduling and delivery management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, crucial for coordinating with multiple stakeholders and managing customer relations.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new software systems; prior knowledge of Amazon logistics software is preferred but not required.
- A proactive problem-solver with a keen attention to detail and the ability to think critically under pressure.
