About the job

*We are open to both Amsterdam-based, London-based and Europe-based applicants who are looking for a remote role and are open to travel to and from our Amsterdam hub at least once a month*

Our purpose

Otrium is a purpose-led business – we see a future where all clothing is worn.

Every year, billions of items are produced globally but are never sold. Clothing goes unworn and often ends up in landfills. This is a huge waste of creative energy, labour, natural resources and investment. Otrium is changing fashion from the inside out: we are an online fashion outlet marketplace and we tech-enable designer brands to find an owner for every item they produce.

How we work

Founded and headquartered in Amsterdam, operating across Europe, Otrium is a start-up company whose diverse, talented and international team, works diligently and passionately to achieve one mission: Wear Over Waste. We have a hybrid set-up which offers flexibility and freedom to our O-Team - this means we encourage our (local) O-Team members to join together in our office based in the Houthavens, Amsterdam at least 2 days per week. Do you have a gym class at 11am or want to take your dog for a walk? Just make up the hour some other way. Fancy a change of scenery whilst you do your work? Feel free to make use of our 8 weeks working abroad policy!

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a data-driven off-price buying strategy to identify and source merchandise from leading brands at attractive prices
  • Negotiate competitive pricing and terms with brands, ensuring optimal margins and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brands, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Manage the entire buying lifecycle, from initial sourcing to contract negotiation, order placement, and delivery.
  • Leverage data analytics to optimise buying decisions, track performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • 6+ years of experience in off-price fashion buying
  • Experience in a multi-brand fashion environment
  • Deep industry knowledge in off-price fashion, along with a well-established network among large fashion brands in Europe
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in English is a must-have

What we offer you for being O-mazing:

  • A competitive, market-rate salary (incl. holiday allowance), with attractive variable compensation and a generous SAR package
  • 25 days paid holiday per year - plus a day off on your birthday and 8 weeks working abroad option!
  • An open, spacious, plant-filled office on the waterside in the Houthavens
  • Delicious bi-weekly office lunches - prepared by our lovely Hub & Culture Manager, Denise
  • Mental and physical health support via a OneFit gym subscription discount and free, unlimited access to OpenUp
  • Mac laptop and more handy tech - including setting up your home office via Workwize
  • And, of course, an incredible 35% Otrium employee discount!
