Remote Senior Software Engineer, Kubernetes

This role is to be filled in the Controller team, which is responsible for the k8s Operator in our SaaS product. The team is managing ± 1000 customer clusters with their software and it's a central part to the success of Camunda's Cloud Platform. We are looking for a talented and motivated individual contributor that is willing to push our software and processes to the next level. There is much space to leave one's own footprint and solve big challenges around k8s, go and multi-cloud-provider and multi-region setups.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design, develop and maintain Kubernetes Operators to manage Camunda 8 applications in our SaaS offering.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and ship new features efficiently.
• Use your experience and help maintain code quality, processes, and automation on an efficient and lean level.
• Push to innovate and foster a culture of pragmatic thinking and continuous growth.
• Provide 3rd level support and be part of our on-call rotation
  
  

What You Bring:

• Ability and/or willingness to use our product
• Expertise in one of the following:
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes (writing k8s Operators)
• Being familiar with the Go programming language.
• A pragmatic and autonomous approach to programming and problem solving
• Willingness to work as part of a team, collaborate and share knowledge
• You thrive in taking ownership of the codebase, as well as how you deploy and operate software. You are comfortable with the “you build it, you run it” mindset.
  

Nice-to-haves:

• 6yrs of experience as a rough guideline
• Prior experience in infrastructure roles (DevOps/ SRE) and topics, e.g. multi-region or multi-cloud-provider setups
• Hands on expertise incident management and SaaS product operations

For external hires, we consider the skills and experience of the incoming candidate, but typically place candidates in the first half of the range to ensure ample room for growth over the entire lifecycle of the role.

Below is the annual Total Target Cash Compensation (Total Cash) range for Camundi located in one of our entities. Total Cash refers to base salary and 100% attainment of variable target, where applicable. Actual Total Cash offered will depend on factors such as skills and qualifications related to the role. To comprise the Total Rewards package, Camunda also offers equity (where applicable) in the form of a Virtual Employee Stock Option Plan and benefits based on the country of residence.

The annual Total Cash range for this position for Camundi in our entities is as follows:

• United States: $126,800.00 to $190,100.00
• Germany: €84,300.00 to €126,500.00
• United Kingdom: £82,200.00 to £123,200.00
• Singapore: S$157,400.00 to S$236,100.00
