General Position Summary

This is an advanced level leadership position whose primary objective is to secure new business through e-commerce tools. The Full-Stack Developer will design software solutions with an eye toward process efficiency from sales through manufacturing, shipping, and product support. The Full-Stack Developer participates in the development and implementation of technical solutions to increase profits through the standardization of custom controls. Maintains market knowledge with consistent end-user interaction.

Essential Functions & Kra

> Safety/Culture

  • Continuously maintains Orenco management's safety, cultural, and professional standards.
  • Promotes, encourages, and reinforces a positive safety culture, safe practices, and a safe work environment to all employees.

> E-Commerce Development

  • Standardizing Custom Controls will be central to e-commerce client value proposition and engineering design tenets.
  • Project Management
    • In coordination with Controls Management, plans and maintains Controls Business Unit overall policies and goals regarding e-commerce development.
    • Works with department managers, sales, engineering, IT(Information Technology), etc. to develop and maintain e-commerce applications and associated infrastructure/programs.
  • The Full-Stack Engineer develops and manages software implementation and flow needed to meet goals involving e-business strategies. ensures that business-centric programs (Great Plains Manufacturing, CRM [Customer Relationship Management], FileMaker, etc.) can be integrated in the applications systems.
  • Performs market analysis, research, and competitive benchmarks; doing business architecture analysis; building technology capability maps required for business models; identifying and vetting new digital capabilities and tactics; and creating longer-term technology road maps.
> Process Improvement Planning

  • Standardizing Custom Controls will be central to Controls process improvement tenets.
    • Guide customers towards standard designs
    • Optimize design-engineering toward value engineering.
  • Develops, distributes, supports, enforces, and integrates best practices and technology standards across the e-commerce tool suite.
  • Develops and modifies Controls applications systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.
  • Resolves complex challenges and problems with existing applications systems.
  • Works with management to design tools that optimize material and labor costs, production output, and process efficiency.
  • Assists Manufacturing staff to plan for and implement increasingly efficient flows of product and data.
> Self-Development/Leadership

  • Works at a high level of trust, leadership, impact, and influence with peers and management team.

> Training

  • Requests individual and team-member skills training on an as-needed basis for programming, etc.
  • Obtains and maintains a MCSE Certification (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) or equivalent.

> Reporting

  • Reviews process projects with managers to determine if results meet or do not meet expectations.
    • Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Inventory Control, Operations, etc.
  • Reports long term trends for completed process projects.
  • Builds reports for projects that are a real time data visual for management to use for development of process standards.
  • For each process project, collaborates with managers to determine best metrics to measure improved performance and help them enhance data collection.
> Production Analyst Tasks

  • Frequently analyzes the data generated from e-commerce tool processes and ensures leadership is notified of variations from the norm or the current trend line.
  • Suggests technology or equipment upgrades that increase efficiency.
  • Oversee the resolution of corrupt data as it is identified.

> Work to be done during manufacturing business hours, however this position may on occasion work outside business hours to support department and business needs. Occasional long hours may be required.

> Regular, consistent, and predictable attendance is required.

Education

A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, accounting, economics, or a related field. A master's degree in computer science or engineering preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • Three years of experience working in an electrical controls manufacturing engineering environment.
  • Holds or has the ability to obtain and maintain a MCSE Certification (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) or equivalent.
  • Practical and in-depth knowledge of computer/programming systems is vital for process analysts.
  • Extensive skills with a variety of software and web applications including but not limited to Microsoft Visual Studio, .SQL (Structured Query Language), NET, C Sharp, C++, Java, (high level programming languages) HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language), and XML (Extensible Markup Language).
  • Studies state of the art information systems looking for enhanced effectiveness and greater utilization and makes recommendations to leadership on potential systems.
  • Adept communication skills, both written and verbal, are required, in order to draw from the experience of co-workers and management and also provide data and updates to both groups.
  • Complete understanding of information systems being used, and the organization's needs and goals.
  • Excels in project management, preferably agile or scrum.
  • Superior problem-solving skills to effect necessary solutions in a timely manner.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust to priority changes with little notice and to remain calm during confrontational or high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to use sound judgement and follow through in problem solving and decision making processes.
  • Must be willing and able to travel if/when business need requires. Must be able to comply with current travel regulations and guidelines of airlines and destination locations.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain Orenco's approved driver criteria; a valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, current insurance on personal vehicle, and meet company insurability requirements.

Working Conditions

Primarily office environment with occasional time spent in manufacturing areas. Travel requirements may include operation of a motor vehicle, airplane travel, and overnight stays in temporary lodging. May require the ability to visit project sites that are situated on a variety of developed and undeveloped terrain/locations and outside weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

Regular job duties include seeing, speaking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, prolonged periods of sitting including extended time viewing a computer screen. Intermittent physical activity including standing, walking, climbing stairs and/or ladders, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, holding, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, Unassisted light lifting and/or carrying of under 20 lbs. is required. May also include occasional unassisted lifting and/or carrying of up to 50 lbs., lifting and/or carrying over 50 lbs. must be assisted. Operation of a motor vehicle and airplane travel with the ability to visit project sites that are situated on a variety of developed and undeveloped terrain/locations, is and/or may be required.

Remote Work Allowed

Salary: $88358.40 - $150238.40 per year
