Circular Materials is seeking a Manager, Business Analysis Contract - Remote , to join our team and play a pivotal role in the implementation of our business and technical initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Management & Business Analysis in the Data Management & Program Delivery department, this internal contract role ending Dec 31st, 2025 will lead a team of skilled Business Analysts, driving the scope definition processes, collaborating with Product Managers, Business stakeholders, Delivery and Development teams. Your leadership will be key in overseeing the requirements elicitation and analysis practices, overseeing issue resolution, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration, and driving projects forward. You will manage team performance, provide coaching and mentorship, and aligning efforts with our organizational vision of growth and effective delivery. As a Manager of Business Analysis, you will be assigned to cross-functional projects and act as a vital link between business stakeholders and our technical implementation teams, ensuring the successful alignment of our initiatives with organizational goals. Your keen business skills, extensive analysis expertise, ability to drive requirements elicitation and analysis practices into actionable outcomes will be crucial in delivering robust and user-friendly, business-outcome focused and data-centric enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the performance of a team of Business Analysts, setting clear goals and expectations, and conducting regular performance reviews.
• Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering professional growth and development through continuous feedback and mentorship.
• Contribute to the conception, creation, and deployment of information systems tailored to address business challenges.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Project Managers to formulate enterprise strategies, roadmaps and prioritize initiatives.
• Develop and teach standard framework for business requirements definition within team and to business.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders (internal and external) to understand scope, data, implementation requirements and objectives for initiatives.
• Lead team to and conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to collect detailed information on user requirements and workflows; including but not limited to functionalities and processes, ensuring a smooth transition and understanding of requirements.
• Lead team to and conduct detailed analysis and documentation of existing business processes, workflows and systems to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in our current processes.
• Create comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, user stories, data flow diagrams, and data mapping, ensuring clear communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Act as a SME and a liaison between business users and technical teams, translating business needs into actionable technical requirements while providing guidance and support to business analysts, business users and project team members throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Work with stakeholders (such as with Product Managers) to prioritize requirements based on business value, ensuring a focus on critical features and functionalities.
• Analyze data structures and collaborate with data analysts and specialists for accurate data migration and management.
• Work on data migration strategies and processes to transition data to new data management tools and solutions.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization of processes, providing insights and recommendations based on user feedback.
  
  

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Recognized certification in Business Analysis, such as IIBA’s Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) – required.
• IIBA Specialized Business Analysis Certifications such as the IIBA®-AAC (Agile Analysis Certification), ECBA, or CBAP are an asset.
• Six (6) years of recent related senior level experience including a minimum of three (3) years managing Business Analysts. Experience should also include a minimum of two (2) years developing BA process and formality for BA teams.

• Extensive experience in business analysis techniques, including requirements elicitation, process modeling, data analysis, and documentation.
• Ability to develop and implement standard frameworks for business requirements definition.
• Strong analytical skills to identify gaps and opportunities for process improvement.
• Experience with data analysis, mapping, and migration processes.
• Knowledge of business process optimization and workflow analysis.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools to plan, execute, and evaluate system testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies to effectively plan, execute, and monitor the delivery projects.
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or Microsoft Project to plan, track, and manage tasks, timelines, and resources throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Familiarity with visualization and collaboration tools like Lucid Chart or Microsoft Visio to create process flow diagrams, data models, and system diagrams, facilitating communication and alignment among project stakeholders.
• Proven communication, leadership, and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
• Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving project environment.
  
  

Working Conditions

• This is a remote position with a flexible work schedule and periods of uneven workflow. May require periods of extended working hours to meet deadlines during peak business cycle.
• The incumbent can adapt in a dynamic environment and has tolerance for change as Circular Materials implements its new program obligations.
• The job demands management of projects across the country, and the candidate will be required to support these projects by adapting to multiple time zones when necessary.
