Job Description:

A growing company seeking a highly motivated QA Automation Engineer to spearhead company’s transition to automated testing. You will play a pivotal role in building the automation framework from the ground up, while also mentoring and upskilling an existing QA team in automation best practices. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the quality and reliability of the software products as the company scales.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Automation Strategy: Define and implement a comprehensive automation strategy, selecting appropriate tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Build Automation Framework: Develop a robust and scalable automation framework from scratch, incorporating best practices for maintainability and extensibility.
• Develop Automated Tests: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and other types of testing.
• Mentor QA Team: Provide guidance and training to existing QA team members, helping them develop automation skills and transition to automated testing.
• Collaborate with Development: Work closely with development teams to ensure testability of new features and integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Monitor and Report: Track and report on test results, identifying areas for improvement and providing insights to stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in QA roles, with at least 3 years in test automation.
• Proven experience in building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Experience with a variety of automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, JIRA, TestRail, etc.).
• Deep understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience in mentoring and coaching QA team members.
• Programming skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proactivity and ability to work independently.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with performance and security testing.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.

Languages:

Proficiency in Spanish at an advanced level, both in writing and speaking, is critical for effective collaboration with our team. Moreover, a proficient command of English is essential for seamless integration with various tools and technical documentation, as well as for engaging in communications across the company.
