Remote Intermediate NodeJS Developer

At Powerapi, We have built an all-in-one platform for B2B brands to quickly plug and play and deploy the relevant features into the market with the merchants and the Points of Sale they work with.

We are a small team of 18 people who are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented NodeJS Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work in our development and product team and report directly to the CTO/Lead Developer and CPO.

The role is fully remote and candidates should be within 2 hours of GMT +1

Tasks

• Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code using NodeJS in specific the NextJS framework.
• Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
• Develop RESTful APIs and ensure they meet performance standards.
• Implement automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of code.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinements, and retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
• Continuously improve development processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend enhancements.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or 2+ years equivalent experience in related industry.
• Proven experience as a NodeJS Developer or in a similar role within the software development industry.
• Good proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and NodeJS. (Nest JS, Prisma and PostgreSQL)
• Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with NestJS framework.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, particularly Git.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
