What You'll Be Doing
- As a mid-level developer, you would be contributing to software architecture, actively developing, assisting more junior level developers, and aiding in the creation of applications
- Participate in complete software development lifecycle from conception to deployment
- Execute on product roadmaps in a team context
- Provide accurate and timely work estimates
- Influential on the design of next-generation, science-focused applications
- Experience with Java 8+, Spring MVC, JavaScript, JQuery, Git, Linux, Spring Security, Bootstrap and CSS
- SQL experience including writing queries and manipulation of data (CRUD)
- Experience writing and maintaining clear documentation and examples
- Comfort with big, open-ended projects with many workable solutions
- Collaborative mentality and ability to work with a variety of personalities and styles
- 3+ years of experience
- SQL Stored Procedures, jQuery, AJAX, Design Patterns, SOLID Principles, Spring Security, Test-Driven Development (JUnit, Mockito), Gradle, Active Directory and Linux/Shell Scripting
- Experience in Agile Scrum software development methodology
- Reasonable technical understanding and experience in building robust, performant, standards-based applications and processes, preferably within a distributed context
- Experience (academic or professional) with cloud-based infrastructure and operations
- Preference for candidates in EST or CST time zones
