What This Opportunity Involves

As a Workplace Services Concierge - Receptionist, you will play a key role in providing a welcoming and professional reception service within our Government Agency client buildings. Your main responsibilities will include providing information and directions, offering a holistic "customer service experience" to staff and visitors, assisting with audio-visual equipment set-up, supporting emergency situations, coordinating facility bookings, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and quality in all interactions.

An Overview Of The Role

  • Provide a welcoming and professional reception service, offering information and directions as needed.
  • Deliver a holistic "customer service experience" to staff and visitors.
  • Assist with the set-up of audio-visual equipment within the Conference Centre.
  • Support client staff and visitors/contractors during emergency situations.
  • Liaise with security guards to address relevant issues.
  • Manage the "Lost & Found" service for the premises.
  • Notify defects issues for managed areas to the Property Help Desk.
  • Assist staff with queries related to facilities management services and amenities.
  • Accept, monitor, and control bookings for various facilities within the building.
  • Provide remote concierge services, including meeting room booking and email delegation.
  • Aid in basic administrative tasks for large conference groups.
  • Maintain a daily record of reception service statistics.
  • Coordinate with cleaning and catering contractors to ensure conference and meeting rooms are properly cleared and cleaned.

  • Australian Citizenship is essential due to client requirements.
  • Proven track record of delivering best practice and quality customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and solve complex problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and basic administrative tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Professionalism and customer-oriented attitude.
  • Familiarity with building-specific standard operating procedures.
  • Competency in using a multiple line phone system.
