Position Summary

The position will hold responsibility for developing and managing new/existing business in a territory across Swiss Customers for all Bio-Techne brands, working from their home office. By working closely with Sales Specialist teams and Marketing you will manage existing business and source new business throughout the Territory. In the position you will be expected to maintain a high level of market knowledge.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Source and develop new business:

  • Source, develop and drive assigned accounts and business opportunities throughout Swiss customers.
  • Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services.
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media
  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs, therefore enhancing Bio-Techne EMEA revenue.
  • Collaborate with internal team members and stakeholders to achieve better result within Bio-Techne.
  • Create frequent reviews and reports with sales, pipeline, and financial data both monthly and quarterly to the Sales Manager, Switzerland.
  • Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections.
  • Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams
  • Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences.


Minimum Requirements/Qualification:

  • BSc in a biological based subject.
  • Beneficial to have Capital Equipment Sales experience
  • An understanding of the Life Science Research and Biotech market.
  • Proficiency in English and German. French is a benefit.
  • Demonstrable experience of working within a sales environment with a strong commercial acumen.
  • Experience of using own initiative and working in a target driven environment.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM software is a plus.
  • Ability to track return on investment (ROI) and key performance indicators (KPI’s).
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques
