Continuing Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) at SAIT offers a wide range of programs designed to support lifelong learning, career advancement (through reskilling and upskilling) and customized talent development solutions for corporations. The Opportunity:
 
SAIT has partnered with the Solicitor General and Alberta Advanced Education to deliver H2S Alive Training at Calgary Correctional Centre (CCC). This instructional opportunity to scheduled to deliver in-person training on site at CCC.
 
The tentative start date is November 2026 to August 2027 
 
Programing will run Monday to Friday (with the exception of Statutory holidays), 2-day course / max 4 hours per day
Approximately 10 courses per year
 
The ideal candidate would be a local authorized H2S Alive Provider. 
 
Police Information Check is required as part of the onboarding process
 

Qualifications

  • Required
  • Certified H2S Alive Instructor with a minimum of 5 years teaching experience.
  • Authorized H2S provider
  • Experience and fluency with Office 365 (MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in English reading and vocabulary
  • Comfortable speaking to the public
  • Positive & respectful attitude
  • Ability to read, interpret and deliver specific curriculum
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to organize and present written information
  •

  • Training and knowledge of adult learning fundamentals
  • Formal training or education in facilitation or teaching
  • Formal training in online technologies
