About the Role:
Our Germany organization is looking for an Operations Manager to take overall responsibility for the operational setup and leadership of the German business.
In this role, you will act as the operational backbone and governance lead, with line management responsibility for Service Technicians, the Service Coordinator, and Project Managers. You will ensure a structured, compliant, and scalable way of working that enables strong sales execution while safeguarding customer satisfaction, delivery quality, and adherence to internal policies and Code of Conduct.
This is a sales‑enabling leadership role, not a sales position, ideal for someone who thrives in bringing structure, clarity, and predictability to complex operational environments.
Whilst the role is a hybrid working role, the expectation is that the person will be in the Munich office 3-4 days per week on average.
What You Will Do:
You will play a critical role in ensuring operational stability, people leadership, and sustainable growth in Germany.
Key responsibilities related to operational leadership and governance:
· Lead and develop the German operational organization with clear roles, responsibilities, and ways of working
· Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct
· Act as the primary escalation point for operational risks, prioritization conflicts, and deviations
· Drive continuous improvement and operational discipline across teams
Key responsibilities related to people management:
· Line management responsibility for:
o Service Technicians
o Service Coordinator
o Project Managers
· Set clear objectives, priorities, and expectations
· Conduct regular one‑to‑one meetings and support performance and development dialogues
· Ensure effective resource planning, workload balance, and team collaboration
· Handle first‑level escalations related to performance, planning, and delivery
Key responsibilities related to execution and performance:
· Ensure operational readiness to support sales, service, and project execution
· Monitor operational KPIs, delivery performance, and capacity utilization
· Support structured planning, prioritization, and follow‑up on corrective actions
· Ensure predictable, high‑quality customer delivery
Key responsibilities related to cross‑functional collaboration:
· Work closely with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and regional functions
· Ensure structured handovers between sales, service, and project execution
· Act as the main operational interface toward regional and central stakeholders
Backup responsibilities during peak workload:
· Act as backup support to Service Coordination and Project Management during defined peak periods (e.g. month‑end, temporary resource constraints)
· Ensure continuity and quality without taking over permanent ownership
Service quotation support (non‑sales):
· Support preparation of service‑related quotations, including:
o Service and maintenance contracts
o Upgrades and retrofits
· Ensure technical feasibility, policy compliance, and alignment with approved pricing models
D365 Key User responsibilities:
· Act as local Key User for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) in Germany
· Test and validate new functionalities and process releases from the global D365 team
· Support structured rollout, adoption, and user enablement
· Identify process improvement opportunities enabled by D365
Compliance and risk:
· Proactively identify operational, contractual, and compliance risks
· Authority to stop or escalate activities that may result in policy deviations, customer dissatisfaction, or financial or reputational risk
Requirements
What You Need to Have
· Post‑secondary education in Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, or similar
· 3–5+ years of experience in operations, service, or project management
· Proven people‑management experience in an operational environment
· Experience working in structured, policy‑driven organizations
· Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills
· Ability to balance pragmatism with governance and leadership accountability
· Clear and confident communication skills in both German and English

· Experience leading service technicians or field‑based teams
· Experience with ERP/CRM systems; D365 experience is a strong advantage
· Strong ability to create structure in complex or changing environments
