As the primary Facility Security Officer, this role will support the agile development of innovative communications, networking, and computing solutions for U.S. defense agencies that improve the sharing of information among warfighters distributed throughout airborne, maritime, and ground environments.
- Oversee and expand the Fuse Security and COMSEC programs in support of 32 CFR Part 117 (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual - NISPOM) & associated federal directives.
- Administer and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure full compliance with DoD 5105.21-M-1 (Sensitive Compartmented Information Manual), COMSEC Manual 90-1 (Communications Security), and Fuse Security Practices and Procedures.
- Maintain DD254s for various classified programs, ensuring accuracy of special security requirements, classification levels, and handling procedures.
- Process and manage classified visitor access up to the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) level, ensuring adherence to security protocols including verification of clearances, need-to-know determinations, execution of NDAs, and clearance eligibility status.
- Process and track employee security clearances and perform administrative support functions to include initiating and monitoring clearance applications, verifying eligibility and access levels, maintaining accurate records, conducting periodic reinvestigations and updates, and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Manage and control access to secure environments containing classified media, documents, Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) and KEYMAT.
- Oversee the ordering and procurement of KEYMAT for CCI. Responsibilities include initiating KEYMAT requests through authorized channels, verifying receipt and integrity upon delivery, verifying delivery integrity, maintaining inventory/accountability records, performing audits/destructions, training staff on protocols, reporting incidents, and enforcing secure storage/distribution.
- Manage the shipping and receiving of classified packages and COMSEC materials. Duties include verifying sender/receiver clearances, using approved secure carriers and packaging methods, maintaining chain-of-custody logs and accountability records, coordinating with custodians for KEYMAT transfers, and training staff on secure handling protocols to prevent compromises during transit.
Requirements
We are looking for:
- BA or BS degree and at least 5 years of experience with industrial security, NISPOM, COMSEC programs, clearance processing, document control, and physical security; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
- Must be able to be on-call and available to support after hours for urgent issues
- Strong interpersonal skills to interface with both corporate and government management, and facilitate solutions that meet multiple demands and priorities
- Demonstrated experience accrediting and implementing classified Networks onsite (internal and external)
- Previous experience as a COMSEC custodian, including managing a COMSEC account, processing transactions in DIAS, and operating a Simple Key Loader (SKL).
- Experience using e-QIP, NBIS, DISS, DOD SAFE, SIPR/NIPR, and GVS/SVTC.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000
