Job Description:The Epworth Centre for Immunotherapies and Snowdome Laboratories (Hoddle St, Richmond) is a Centre of Excellence in blood cancer patient treatment and care, made possible through a partnership of the Epworth Medical Foundation and Snowdome Foundation.
This high quality administrative support role supports the Epworth Centre of Immunotherapies and Snowdome Laboratories and its consumers, including reception, secretarial and general office management. You will act as a central point of contact for both staff and patients.
The administrative officer will be responsible in maintaining a high quality and efficient medical reception service. This includes but is not limited to managing patient and medical enquiries, filing and records management, data input and management, mail receipt, sorting and delivery, maintenance of registers and general administrative duties to support the smooth running of the ECISL including the cryopreservation facility, laboratories and office space.
The role is part time, fixed term for 12 months. We are open to negotiate working days, however the team requires full availability on Thursdays & Fridays.
To be successful in this role…
You will be a quick learner; quick to think on your feet when faced with problems, and a multi-tasker, used to dealing with numerous tasks at any one time.
You will have:
- Previous experience in providing administrative support within a healthcare or similar setting
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of medical terminology (desirable)
- Highly organised with a proven ability to prioritise tasks in a busy clinical environment
- Proven ability to undertake administrative tasks in a timely and effective manner
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively as part of a team and to liaise confidently and courteously with people at all levels
- A sense of ownership and accountability regarding the work you undertake
- A drive to be successful and progress!

Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in a relevant healthcare discipline (desirable)
