The Mechanical Engineer will work on project teams to create world class designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments on a variety of natural gas and renewable projects including pipelines, compressor, meter and pump stations and other areas related to the industry. The Staff Process Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting process and mechanical plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs.
Perform process and mechanical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
Perform process and stress simulations. The simulations will be performed in most cases using AFT products, Ceaser II, etc.
Modify and review production drawings, 3D Model, ISO drawings, etc. for a variety of projects including, but not limited to pipelines, M&R stations, compressor stations, and renewable natural gas projects.
Design process components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers.
Applies strong knowledge of commonly used process engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the Mechanical and process engineering services industry.
Research and compile project related data as required by the project managers.
Update drawings provided by senior engineers to verify corrections are made within multiple CAD related software.
Compiles information for client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration for the design of power, process, pipeline, industrial, healthcare, airports, educational institutions, commercial, and governmental and military facilities.

Create Project Specifications.
Create datasheets for the procurement packages.
Create Procurement Packages Request for Quotes, perform bid evaluations and recommend vendors.
Review production drawings, 3D Model, ISO drawings, etc.
Work closely with other disciplines (Piping, Elelctrical, I&C, Structural and Civil).
Review Vendor drawings.
Attend meetings with clients as needed.
Performs field inspections, measurements or calculations for public and private clients.
Field assignment will be possible.
All other duties as assigned.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program.
3 years to 5 years of mechanical and/or process engineering experience, consulting.
Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering may be substituted for 1 year experience.
Successful completion (i.e. passing) FE or EIT preferred.
Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
Proficient in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
Strong computer skills include AutoCAD, Equipment Sizing Programs and process simulation software (i.e. Hysys and/or Aspen, HTRI).
