In this role, you'll:
Working within our Asset Management Team at Sydney Trains, the primary purpose of our CAD Officer is to take responsibility for the preparation, amendment and verification of CAD drawings on behalf of the Underground Services Unit to the required standard, accuracy and quality to meet Asset Management Branch (AMB) and Sydney Trains technical and quality standards.
Reporting to the Underground Services Manager, you will ensure the production, amendment and review of CAD and PDF drawings of varying complexity, in a quality, timely and accurate manner on behalf of the Underground Services Unit.
About you
We are looking for a CAD Officer who has tertiary qualifications in engineering, drafting or a related discipline, at certificate level or higher and has demonstrated experience in the use of AutoCAD drafting software, to create compliant detail drawings, layouts and diagrams from different sources in an equivalent civil/survey environment, within a comparable public or private sector organisation.
You shall participate in training and accreditation programs to support the capability levels of the discipline.
You will also contribute to team success by following project plans and scheduled works for projects to ensure they are completed in a financially responsible manner, to time, cost, quality and safety standards, and satisfy client requirements.
You will also contribute to the development of DSS standards, policies, procedures and instructions to ensure they are fit for purpose to support the safe, reliable and cost effective management of TfNSW assets.
