As an Electrical Development Engineer specializing in Transformer Design at the Global Engineering Center in Vadodara, India, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, diversity, and collaboration. How you’ll make an impact

• You will deliver on electrical design and development of DTR/Dry type transformers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define customized designs with high priority on safety design aspects and identification and control of hazards.
• Design, analyze, and evaluate systems, products, or components, requiring a high degree of technical expertise.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize transformer design, manufacturing processes, and materials selection.
• Support prototype designs, analyzing results, and recommending design modifications as necessary.
• Support technology implementation and Design to Value (DTV) initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in transformer design and manufacturing.
• incorporating new methodologies and best practices into our development processes.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

• B.E / B. Tech Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 7-12 years of experience in electrical design and development, with a focus on transformers in the power industry.
• Understanding of Transformer Electrical Design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics
• Should have good understanding of IS/ IEC /IEEE Standards & Canadian Standards.
• Proficiency in CAD software/ PTC Creo is preferred.
• Experience with programming languages such as C++ or C is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.
• Experience on Microsoft office and tools.
• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.
• Demonstrated team building skills, would be a preference.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English & Hindi language is required
