Très LA Group is looking for an Assistant Operations Manager to support our Corporate Dining program in Los Angeles. This role works closely with the Operations Manager to keep daily kitchen and food service operations running smoothly. We are seeking someone who has hands on kitchen leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate projects in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
Support daily kitchen operations with BOH and FOH teams
Coordinate prep, service, and end of day procedures
Assist with operational projects, timelines, documentation, and SOPs
Communicate with site leadership, the Operations Manager, and client partners
Support food safety programs including ServSafe, HACCP, and allergen protocols
Help with ordering, receiving, vendor communication, and inventory
Participate in menu rollouts, recipe standardization, and quality checks
Prepare operational reports and assist with KPI tracking
Support onboarding, training, and compliance for staff
Assist with HR related follow up as directed by the Operations Manager
Identify process improvements and support implementation
Maintain a safe, positive, and professional work environment
Qualifications
Three or more years of food service experience, including at least two years in a supervisory or kitchen management role
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
Experience leading or supporting kitchen teams
Ability to thrive in a high volume, fast paced setting
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Comfortable using POS systems, scheduling or inventory tools, and Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Culinary Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
Preferred
ServSafe Manager certification and HACCP training
Experience in corporate dining or multi unit environments
Project management training or certification
Experience with sustainability or waste reduction programs
Bilingual skills
Requirements
Active California Manager’s Food Handlers Card
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
Professional, business casual presentation
Ability to travel locally for job related tasks
