Make an Impact by:
- Attend day to day operation and maintenance of 3G/4G/5G base stations and repeater systems. Have an analytical mind, fast response and dedication to resolving all radio base station faults.
- Updating of ticketing system for daily fault clearing and routine maintenance purposes.
- Investigating and resolve transmission link problem occurring at radio base station.
- Joint investigating with another section (Radio Quality) staff for sites with coverage, handover or high assignment failure problems and rectifying these problems.
- On 24-hr standby duty per week roster to attend to faults after office hours and at time field standby for any national major event.
- Oversaw the delegation of fault reports to ensure timely response and resolution
- Liaise and supervise Term Contractors to carry out on minor repair work/Retrofitting work.
- Send correspondence/E-mail to Building Owner/Management prior for site access etc.
- Responsible for recording, repairing, returning, and replenishing radio base station spares in the van, maintaining proper inventory order, and ensuring sufficient spare equipment is available to support daily maintenance needs.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Skills for Success:
- Min qualification of O Level /A level or ITE in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Mini 3 years working experience in Engineering (Technician) or equivalent experience.
- ITE / NITEC or equivalent Mobile engineering experience with at least two years.
- Daily field visits to work sites at roof-top during working days are required.
- Willing to be on rotation on 24 X 7 standby duty to attend to faults after office hours and at time on field standby for any national major events.
- The candidate must have an analytical mind, fast response and dedication to resolving problems.
- The candidate must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work as a team
- Class 3 Driver Licenses
