The Nutritionist is responsible for providing quality nutrition counseling, guest lectures and participating in departmental meetings to include input into the development of new lectures and services.

Responsibilities:

What You'll Do as a Canyon Ranch Colleague:

  • Provide professional, high-quality nutrition counseling through one-on-one consultations and group workshops consistent with the Canyon Ranch wellness philosophy.

  • Assess and evaluate guest nutritional status using dietary history, medical testing, and risk identification to create personalized, evidence-based nutrition plans.

  • Educate guests on nutritional principles, dietary planning, food selection, and preparation, translating research into practical, real-world recommendations.

  • Collaborate with Health & Healing practitioners to ensure continuity of care and make appropriate referrals for additional services within Canyon Ranch.

  • Develop and deliver engaging nutrition lectures and maintain up-to-date educational materials, incorporating guest feedback to enhance program quality.

  • Complete all documentation, communication, and follow-up promptly, and participate in program development, staff training, and departmental meetings.

Qualifications:

Experience

 

Minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience working with clients on various issues including weight loss, preventative nutrition, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and digestive disorders preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Functional knowledge of acute and chronic disease states including the understanding of the underlying causes of disease such as inflammation, hormonal imbalances, detoxification immune dysfunction, oxidative stress, digestive, absorptive & microbiological imbalances and mitochondrial dysfunction preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills required.
  • Excellent customer service and computer skills (including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and EMR) required.

 

Certification/License

 

Must have MA License in Nutrition.

 

Education

 

 RD Eligible and Master’s Degree in Nutrition required.

 

Starting Rate

 

$38.46 - $40.87
