About the role
As Marketing Manager, North America you will drive marketing activities for Valmet’s Business Areas: Tissue, Paper & Packaging and Pulp, Energy & Circularity. Your main responsibilities are building brand loyalty, boosting customer satisfaction and foster engagement. You will be the trusted partner for both marketing and sales teams, ensuring their needs are met with excellence and efficiency. This role demands a customer centric approach with good understanding of B2B marketing drivers.
We are seeking a relationship driven professional who can plan and execute planned marketing activities independently and in close collaboration with the business areas’ marketing teams. The ideal candidate is motivated to develop creative marketing solutions, demonstrate technology leadership and is eager to test new ideas and take on new challenges. A strong market orientation, paired with an innovative and solutions-focused approach, will be the key to thriving in this position.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing and external communication
- Be the go-to expert for North American marketing activities, providing prompt and professional support.
- Plan and execute trade fairs, customer seminars and support customer training realization
- Carry out digital marketing campaigns and webinars in collaboration with global marketing teams
- Develop compelling reference cases together with Business Areas
- Identify new marketing opportunities and adapt marketing strategies to changing market demands and competitive conditions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with sales teams, customers, vendors and other stakeholders.
- Manage media contacts and public relations in North America
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years in marketing, ideally in B2B or technical industries.
- Excellent skills in communication and build trustworthy relations
- Proficient in relevant marketing tools e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Sharepoint, Sales Force/Pardot, Optimizely or similar.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and managing multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
