This role is ideal for a dependable Class A Driver who is tech-savvy, people-oriented, and ready to take on a leadership position. The position combines the daily responsibilities of a Material Handler and Driver while serving as the primary point of contact for material movements, warehouse personnel, and fulfillment processes. It offers the stability of a consistent Monday–Friday schedule and the opportunity to build a long-term career with a company that values reliability, teamwork, and growth.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will be a clear communicator and diligent problem solver who is hands-on and proactive. They should be detail-oriented, proficient with Microsoft Office applications, and capable of performing well under pressure. This individual can work independently to meet objectives while considering the broader impact of their work and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

As Warehouse Lead, responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling, planning, and assigning deliveries and routes to ensure the most economical use of time, fuel, and equipment.
  • Performing routine inspections of vehicles and material-handling equipment; referring issues and preventive maintenance needs to the appropriate parties.
  • Coordinating and communicating clearly with management and other cross-functional team members across the organization.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Counting, examining, and receiving delivered inventory into the system.
  • Monitoring and inspecting inventory for defective, returned, held, or damaged items.
  • Training, supervising, and evaluating drivers and material handlers.

As Driver/Material Handler, responsibilities include:

  • Pulling, packing, loading, and unloading products and equipment for delivery.
  • Delivering or picking up full or partial loads of products and equipment for customers or vendors.
  • Safely and efficiently moving products and equipment within the warehouse using sit-down or stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Performing all tasks in compliance with safety and security standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Proficiency with PCs and software applications, including warehouse management systems, Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, OneDrive, Teams, etc.).
  • Experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks with an excellent safety record (certification required).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of applicable operations experience and at least three years of relevant driving experience.
  • Experience or familiarity with packaging products and equipment preferred.
  • Valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.

Other Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The right candidate is:

  • Quick to learn and able to apply new knowledge effectively.
  • Flexible and willing to take on additional tasks when assigned.
  • Safety- and quality-conscious, making sound decisions about safe work practices and product handling.
  • Organized, keeping paperwork and orders in proper sequence.
  • A strong communicator — with customers, drivers, and co-workers alike.
  • Detail-oriented and thorough when checking work and identifying materials.
  • Dependable, punctual, and consistently reliable.
  • A team player who shows initiative, works well with small groups, and assists others when needed.
