Position Summary: This corporate-wide position is responsible for leading the design, development, implementation and support of critical business intelligence initiatives and applications that will contribute to strategic decision-making across the enterprise. Management responsibilities include: CRM, ERP, data warehousing, data integrity, analytics and reporting.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Align with business stakeholders to develop a mature business intelligence platform
  • Lead & manage ERP systems, consolidation & alignment of processes
  • Work with Sales, Operations (Supply Chain and Procurement), Manufacturing, Finance, Quality and HR to understand needs, design data models, recommend KPIs and compelling data visualizations
  • Develop and implement a robust governance framework across the BI landscape that ensures strong change management, excellent data quality and data confidence
  • Oversee & advise on CRM direction, data integrity and integrations
  • Manage data integrity, ETL and reporting between DW and downstream systems
  • Collaborate across business units on data management and systems' integrations
  • Review workflows developed by developers/analysts
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to best support company initiatives
  • Manage implementations of applications and ensure versions are kept current: Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new product, upgrades, and improvements to applications
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of emerging BI technologies and recommend solutions that drive innovation and business value
  • Maintain overall responsibility of daily operations of the team
  • Mentor and develop the team while ensuring performance targets are achieved and maintained

 

 

Minimum/Core Requirements:

 

  • Experience and working knowledge of business intelligence and data warehouse environments including system administration, database design, dimensional modelling, security, reporting and analytics
  • Knowledge of business analysis, business process re-engineering and information management practices and protocols including strategic planning processes and change management principles and practices
  • Experience with ETL process working with traditional business warehouse
  • Data modeling and visualization abilities
  • Analytical skills with an eye for attention to detail
  • Experience managing multiple initiatives and projects
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and reconcile data integrity issues
  • Experience in data visualization/reporting using Tableau or MS Power BI
  • Firm understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and design
  • Experience with data modeling
  • Ability to build and understand basic SQL queries
  • Excellent knowledge of MS office, primarily Excel & PowerPoint
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; highly articulate in both verbal and written forms, translating complex technical concepts into non-­‐technical language
  • Strong team building skills / ability to influence others and drive consensus
  • Ability to write SQL queries & views to extract data
  • Ability to build dashboards and reporting systems
  • Ability to create training materials to guide business users on how to use dashboards
  • Firm grasp of business strategy and KPIs

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Computer Sciences, Information Systems or Engineering
