Position Summary:
The Paralegal Contract Administrator will support the company’s Legal Department in areas inclusive of contracts administration, general corporate matters and claims management. The Contract Administrator conducts information gathering, document preparation, and other tasks for subpoena responses, discovery requests, and similar inquiries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supports Chief Legal Officer, attorneys and other employees with contract drafting review, negotiation, and administration.
- Assists with gathering of information in response to subpoenas, discovery requests and similar inquiries.
- Maintains legal related intranet sites and manage all aspects of contract database
- Prepares responses to governmental and other public agencies regarding general corporate information on the company.
- Attends meetings to assess progress on projects which are in motion, and take detailed notes to share with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT, business teams and potentially outside consultants to finalize implementation of a new contract management software and internal processes to optimize productivity.
- Create reports from the contract management software to assist with tracking of expiration dates and other key contract terms.
Other Functions:
- Prepares presentations and training materials as needed.
- Performs all levels of work and be hands-on when necessary.
- Creates regular status reports regarding progress on projects.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- College degree required
- 7-10 years of experience as Contract Administrator or related role required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, following through until completion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Docusign preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of principles and facts related to business administration and accounting, human and material resource management in organizations, sales and marketing, economics, and office information and organizing systems.
- Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and workplace terminology.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Skill in giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills.
- The ability to understand and provide information verbally and in writing clearly and effectively.
- The ability to be a team player willing to support the organization as directed and required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or Juris Doctor Degree preferred.
- In-house paralegal experience preferred.
- Previous experience with customer service and/or procurement preferred.
- Previous contract management experience
