As a Sr. Systems Process Specialist, you will provide advisory services to customers and/or third-party contractors on existing and/or newly acquired equipment and components.

In this role you will:

  • Work mainly at one customer site location. 

  • Perform Preventive Maintenance, Proactive Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution. 

  • Perform calibration checks. 

  • Perform computer system backups and maintains records of all changes to the system. 

  • Provide training and guidance for Mill Employees. 

  • Ability to utilize a computer to remotely connect to the systems to troubleshoot. 

  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed.

  • Manage spare parts at site. 

  • Attend meetings at the mill site as part of a team. 

  • Perform other duties typical of this position as assigned.

Note: The working conditions of this position will primarily take place in a mill located in Ticonderoga, NY. Selected candidate must live in the area or within 1-hour of the mill.

Experience & Education:

  • 2-year degree or military background in electro-mechanical capacity.  Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical or Chemical engineering preferred.

  • Pulp and Paper experience a plus.  The ideal candidate would possess QCS (Quality Control Systems), MV (Machine Vision), DCS (Distributed Control Systems), and Process Controls background.

  • A solid mechanical aptitude is required with a basic understanding of electricity, electronics, computers, and Microsoft Office products.

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Collaborate well while also able to work independently, making decisions often under stressful conditions.  

  • Have the ability to form professional relationships with customers.

  • Have effective written and verbal communication skills.  

  • Be self-managed and able to set their own daily and weekly priorities with the customers. 

  • Have the ability to work an on-call schedule and/or provide after-hours emergency services when needed.

  • This position requires a valid driver’s license.
