Position Summary

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new commercial and industrial accounts within a defined territory. You’ll promote ABM’s Onsite Facility Services—including Cleaning, Environmental, Parking, and Engineering—by crafting tailored solutions that address client needs and drive value.

This role requires a strategic thinker and relationship builder who can collaborate with operations teams, lead the sales process, and maintain strong client partnerships while cross-selling ABM’s full suite of services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term sales strategies to grow territory revenue.
  • Prospect new business through cold calling, networking, and lead generation.
  • Create and present customized proposals using ABM-branded materials.
  • Conduct facility walk-throughs and assess current service programs.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure strategic and financial alignment.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage client transitions to operations.
  • Build a strong network of industry contacts, community partners, and prospective clients.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and manage assigned budget.
  • Support marketing campaigns and monitor competitive landscape.
  • Provide training and share competitive intelligence as needed.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of service sales experience, with a focus on cold calling and lead generation.
  • Experience in facility services, janitorial, commercial real estate, or related fields preferred.
  • Proven ability to write and present compelling proposals.
  • Experience pricing labor within proposals is a plus.
