The Unpaid Internship at Always Compassionate Health offers motivated students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
This internship is designed to enhance the intern’s academic learning by providing hands-on exposure to organizational operations, professional communication, and project execution within their chosen department.
The internship is for educational purposes only, structured to ensure the student is the primary beneficiary of the experience. Interns will receive mentorship, access to departmental resources, and learning objectives aligned with their academic curriculum.
Key Learning Objectives:
Gain exposure to the structure and daily operations of a leading healthcare organization.
Develop practical skills aligned with your field of study (e.g., HR processes, marketing strategy, compliance tracking, project coordination, etc.).
Observe and participate in professional meetings, shadowing opportunities, and real-time projects.
Learn how departments collaborate to meet organizational and regulatory goals.
Receive mentorship and performance feedback designed to support your academic and professional development.
Essential Responsibilities:
Assist with departmental projects, research, or administrative functions as assigned.
Participate in meetings, training sessions, and team activities.
Prepare reports, summaries, or documentation supporting assigned learning goals.
Maintain confidentiality of all patient, employee, and business information.
Adhere to all company policies and professional conduct standards.
Complete periodic check-ins and evaluations with your assigned supervisor to assess learning outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in [insert field, e.g., Business, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, etc.].
Internship must be approved by the academic institution and/or eligible for academic credit.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Professional, reliable, and eager to learn.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar productivity tools.
Schedule & Duration:
Flexible schedule to accommodate academic requirements.
Typically 8–12 weeks in duration (may vary based on academic program).
Internship hours not to exceed 20 hours per week without academic advisor approval.
Compensation & Legal Compliance:
This internship is unpaid and intended for educational purposes only.
The intern will not replace paid employees and will work under close supervision of experienced staff.
The internship is structured to meet the Department of Labor’s “Primary Beneficiary Test” criteria under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
There is no expectation of employment upon completion of the internship.
