Material Coordinator Lead (Grounds and Building Maintenance) interacts with supervisor, higher management, and government personnel. Assign daily duties and provide instruction to the Facility and Grounds Maintenance personnel. Follow company policies and ensures team members adhere to all standards and guidelines; attend weekly management meetings. Evaluate team members’ performances and informs management of any issues. Ensure all services, orders, maintenance records and reports are conducted, maintained and filed. Responsible for training employees on their duties and responsibilities as a General Maintenance/ Grounds Maintenance Workers and maintains records of training.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Supervise, task and assign work.
- Maintain buildings and grounds.
- Submit and follow up on service work orders.
- Process DA and DD Forms.
- Assist and coordinate with customers as required.
- Complete daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
- Conduct Safety and daily operation briefing.
- Maintain 100% accountability of assigned equipment.
- Process and submit Incident reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two (2) to Five (5) years of documented leadership experience managing personnel and assigning daily task.
- Ability to supervise, train, motivate, and evaluate others to achieve success, be productive, and meet department objectives.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions and take appropriate action, resolve problems using independent judgment and decision-making processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact at all levels.
- Ability to multi-task and organize, prioritize, and follow multiple projects and tasks through to completion with an attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to the customers.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and SharePoint.
- Advanced handyman and lawn care abilities.
- Knowledge of construction, maintenance and repair of building components and structures.
- Knowledge and skill in using tools and equipment of the trade.
- Must understand basic principles of electricity, plumbing, A/C, carpentry, concrete, paint, drywall and small engines.
- Must be able to operate zero turn/riding mower, snow blower, backpack blower and any other equipment needed for maintenance task.
- Ability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment.
- Valid Driver's License.
- GSA Driver’s License.
- CAC required.
- High School/GED Diploma.
- Perform other duties as required that may involve working overtime, weekends, flexible hours and holidays.
- Perform work in conditions of inclement weather, extreme heat and cold, high/low humidity, blowing sand and dust, working in confined spaces and at heights while standing for long periods of time.
- The ability to read and write the English language sufficiently to understand written work orders and instructions.
- Able to move throughout assigned areas, as the work is performed primarily out-of-doors, year round on uneven ground and grave with prolonged walking or standing, frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching on a daily basis.
- Ability to climb ladders over five feet.
