Under the direction of the Manager, this position provides administrative and customer service support to Bankoh Investment Services, Inc. (BISI) Financial Advisors and their customers.
Responsibilities
- Reviews new account applications, forms and opens new accounts, follows up on deficient items, performs account transfers, receives and processes service requests, disbursement requests and provides backup to other Assistants.
 - Researches and resolves customer inquiries, meets walk-in customers and prospects, answers telephones, prepares account analysis and performs various servicing items as requested.
 - Assists Financial Advisors and customers by providing information and conducting research, answering operational and servicing questions. Places trade orders (if appropriately licensed) for customers and representatives. Acts as a liaison between customers and representatives with BISI’s clearing firm.
 - Performs account record changes, prepares and maintains Financial Advisor correspondence, acts as liaison with various Bank of Hawaii departments. Assists with mail disbursement and prepares Advisor’s expense reports.
 - Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D., Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred. Optional licenses: FINRA Series 6 & 63, Series 65 or 66, and Life, Accident and Health insurance licenses.
 - Minimum 2 to 4 years of administrative and/or customer service experience. Investment or related experience preferred. Previous work in a high-volume clerical environment a plus.
 - Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) or similar software.
 - Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, customer service orientation and telephone skills. Must be a good listener, who is able to express complex ideas in concise and simple terms. Able to work well independently and as part of a team. Must be analytical, organized and able to function under time constraints with shifting priorities. Must be able to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends and evenings as needed or assigned.
