Job Description
CDM Smith is seeking a motivated Construction Intern to join our Central Florida team for Summer 2026. This position provides hands-on experience on major heavy civil water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment plants, pump stations, and large-diameter pipeline work.
The intern will work closely with a team of construction managers, engineers, and commissioning specialists to support both field and office operations. This role will provide exposure to civil, mechanical, electrical, automation, and commissioning processes involved in delivering complex public infrastructure projects.

Minimum Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelors or a Master's in Construction Management or a related discipline is required. Construction experience is preferred but not required.

Skills and Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in a team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); exposure to scheduling or project management software is a plus.

Additional Compensation
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
