Position Summary
This is a temporary Program Administrator position with the ANSI International Policy team. The ideal candidate will be available immediately, and must commit to the full duration of the assignment, which is expected to last through April 2026. Work hours will be Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET. This is a non-exempt position with an hourly compensation of $40.88 per hour, and does not qualify for benefits.
We are looking for a diligent, collaborative Temporary Program Administrator, International Policy to provide support for the development and implementation of the United States National Committee to the International Electrotechnical Commission (USNC/IEC) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) positions in relation to the work of the IEC and to represent the interests of the US voluntary standardization and conformity assessment community. This position will be responsible for supporting programs and activities for the work of the USNC/IEC.

You should be adaptable, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task.
You will provide wide-ranging support to the USNC team as well as its membership. The position also assists in the USNC’s efforts to build a strong and effective interface with our members from industry, government, academia, standards development organizations, trade associations, and testing/certification.
Essential Functions
Serve as primary staff support for submitting USNC votes into the IEC system on technical committee (TC) documents
Coordinate closely with USNC Technical Advisory Group (TAG) leadership and administer the IEC Online Standards Development (OSD) platform processes
As necessary, conduct special projects, perform research, and provide general support to USNC programs
Keep supervisor informed of activities and developments in the areas of responsibility
Information Security Responsibilities
Attend/complete assigned information security training by the designated completion date
Read and adhere to published ISMS policies and procedures
Report timely any observed violations of ISMS policy - or known encroachments on information security - to your department leader and/or the Information Technology Department
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in international relations, project management, communications or related discipline is required
Two or more years of experience in office administration, and/or communications programs working with Customer Relations Management (CRM) desirable
Other Qualifications
Familiarity with standardization and conformity assessment, specifically with IEC and/or ISO (including IEEE, ITU, etc.) structure, activities and ISO/IEC Directives desirable
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven competence and sensitivity in multi-stakeholder and multi-cultural dynamics and environments
Excellent exercise of discretion and diplomacy, including solid judgment operating in highly political environments
Outstanding organizational and administrative skills
Strong ability to interact with other staff and external constituents as a team player
Excellent analytical abilities and creative problem solving
Willingness to develop familiarity with policy content of assigned program areas
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and database management
Experience working with functions, pivot tables, sorting and filtering in Microsoft Excel
Proficiency in various kinds of electronic communications, including web conferencing
A team player with a strong work ethic
