What to Expect

The Apprenticeship Programme is designed to help those with no experience of working in finance and provide the opportunity to embark on a structured learning journey resulting in a professional qualification. If you have a strong work ethic, are intellectually curious, and work well in a team, you will love working for us.

As a part of our two-year Apprenticeship programme you will be studying towards Level 4 Investment Operations Specialist

The Securitised Products and Supply Chain Finance department provides structured working capital Solutions to MUFG clients. The department covers clients from various industries and provides solutions for both the public and private markets.

As a member of the Portfolio Management and Conduit Funding team provide support to the funding, monitoring and administration functions for Securitised Products & Supply Chain Finance transactions, and the bank sponsored Asset Backed Commercial Paper (ABCP) conduit (Albion) in accordance with the conduit and banks operating policies. If required, support the Structuring team in the execution of SP & SCF transactions for MUFG clients.

Some of the tasks you may support with include:

  •   Support the Review and record transaction servicer report information for transaction performance analysis, and action portfolio deteriorations/ trigger events.
  • Support with the production of monthly transaction performance reporting to be shared with RMs, SFCO and GCIB management, and Month End/ Quarter End reports that are distributed throughout the bank
  • Support the funding of the Albion programme and assist setting up daily funding files and in updating our cash management system. Monitor and reconcile the daily cash flows, understand the funding process and train to issue Commercial Paper in the CP markets.
  • Assist in entering Commercial Paper trades and Asset information into our cash management system.
  • Support the production of Albion’s Monthly Investor Report for distribution to Rating Agencies and Albion’s investors through Albion’s dealer panel.
  • Support the execution of new transactions.
  • After appropriate training, responsibility will be given to the administrator for certain regular tasks:
  • Develop a knowledge base of the securitisation product and the Albion ABCP conduit.

  • Minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, and three A-levels (or equivalent) including minimum grade of 6/B in Business Studies, Economics, Maths, English, Sciences (including Computer Science) to be eligible to apply.
