About the Opportunity:
The Associate Director, External Reporting is responsible for leading the Company’s external financial reporting and technical accounting functions. This role ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations, manages the preparation of SEC filings, and performs technical accounting research and documentation for complex transactions. This role will be based in Redwood City, California.
In this role you will be responsible for:

In this role you will be responsible for:
• Leading the preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, Proxy) and managing the submission process.
• Conducting technical accounting research and drafting memos on complex transactions (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, equity).
• Overseeing equity-related accounting, including stock-based compensation and ESPP transactions.
• Collaborating with internal teams on earnings releases and Board materials
• Ensuring SOX compliance for external reporting and equity processes.
• Supporting special projects such as ERP implementations, audit readiness, and policy updates
The essential requirements of the job include:
• 8–10 years of relevant experience, including Big 4 public accounting and/or public company reporting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations
• Experience with Workiva, Equity Edge, Coupa and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)
• High level Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio) required
• Proven ability to manage complex reporting cycles and meet tight deadlines.
