The role of the DT supervisor is to supervise staff and residents during the resident’s workday. The candidate must like to work in a fast paced, energetic environment where they enjoy working with multiple residential areas and departments on campus. The DT Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the health and safety of the residents and the security of the Conway building. To accomplish this, the Supervisor is expected to maintain knowledge of residents and staff and will ensure a high standard of care.
Qualification:
- Supervisor must have a minimum of one year experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities.
- Must have High School Diploma and/or GED
- Must successfully complete 4 week of paid training upon hire
- Has a valid driver’s license – preferred, good driving record and comfortable driving vehicles of all sizes
- Ability to supervise others; prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to use judgment and reasoning under composure during critical incidents such as Nurse reports and Dr. Find.
- Ability to self-organize, manage resources, meet deadlines, and work independently. Ability to demonstrate reliability, flexibility and adaptability.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stake holders, including residents with a variety of special needs, parents/guardians, DSPs, support departments, interdisciplinary team members, administration, volunteers, community employers and program partners, and the public.
- Ability to monitor lesson plans, goals, objectives, and support plans, services with an emphasis on active treatment.
- Ability to monitor and support quality and meaningful programming.
- Knowledgeable of Misericordia policy and procedure, reflected in commitment to meeting Misericordia's high environmental, personal care, and active treatment standards.
- Committed to ensuring the rights of the residents.
- Demonstrates excellent teamwork skills.
- This position is Monday - Friday ( 8 am - 4 pm)
Job Type: Full - Time only
Hourly Pay Rates: $27.00 an hour
